Work Planner / Cost Estimator

Location: Helmond

Mevi Group is growing, and we are looking for a Work Planner / Cost Estimator to strengthen our team. In this role, you play a key part in both the quotation phase and the production preparation process. You translate customer requests into solid cost estimates, turn sales orders into clear production orders, and keep a sharp eye on quality, delivery reliability, and costs.

What will you do?

  • In close cooperation with Sales, Purchasing, and Production, translate customer requirements into a clear and well-founded cost estimate for quotations.

  • Convert sales orders into unambiguous production orders, including all required calculations, specifications, drawings/sketches, and supporting information.

  • Determine the level of outsourcing for prepared production orders, in consultation with Sales, Purchasing, and Production where needed.

  • Assess the suitability of production processes and maintain insight into the outsourcing and purchasing market.

  • Ensure production orders are “production-ready” and help safeguard quality, delivery reliability, and cost control.

Your profile

  • You have completed a technical MBO education and bring relevant experience.

  • You follow developments in shopfloor digitalization / Smart Industry and know how to apply them in practice.

  • You are driven, service-minded, and accurate.

  • You communicate clearly and professionally; you have a good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written). German is a plus.

  • You work in a customer-oriented way and keep overview, even when priorities shift.

  • You have experience with MS Office.

  • Knowledge of ISAH ERP and experience with Lean are a plus.

You will work on prototypes and single pieces with the highest possible precision and quality! Producing products accurate to the micron (µm)? That’s your specialty, and exactly what you want to do! What will you do?

  • Work with a dedicated, high-quality CNC machine;

  • Manufacture prototypes and single pieces from aluminum and exotic materials such as titanium, stainless steel, or Inconel;

  • Receive files and technical drawings from the client and assess manufacturability;

  • Independently determine the best approach to realize the component—you’ll have this freedom with us, and this way of working suits you;

  • Program the files for your component yourself, either externally or directly at the machine;

  • Take responsibility for your machine, checking its setup and, of course, the quality of your tools and tooling;

  • Perform interim measurements on your workpiece—you are responsible for quality control;

  • Once everything is set up, you get to work: you are the skilled professional who takes pride in your craft.

Your profile

  • You have a technical diploma or can demonstrate equivalent experience;

  • Experience with Fanuc or Siemens systems is a strong plus;

  • You are creative and always find the best way to manufacture a component;

  • You work neatly, accurately, and check your own work at multiple stages;

What will you do?

  • As the Technical Buyer / Subcontracting Coordinator, you are responsible for purchasing all materials with the right quality, the right delivery date, and at the agreed price, from suppliers selected by our work planners.

  • You maintain regular direct contact with suppliers regarding priorities and ensure timely escalation when needed. Your goal is to guarantee material availability for production.

  • You ensure on-time deliveries by proactively monitoring orders and following up with suppliers.

  • You steer the logistical purchasing process where necessary and process/maintain purchasing data in the ERP system.

  • You are able to translate both short- and long-term forecasts into clear input for the supplier chain.

Your profile

  • You are proactive, dynamic, and you get things done. You have affinity with the high-tech market.

  • You have an MBO diploma and several years of relevant operational purchasing experience.

  • You have strong communication skills and a hands-on mindset.

  • Experience with ERP systems is required (ISAH is a strong plus).

  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel.

  • You are a networker and build and maintain contacts easily.

  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, spoken and written. German is a plus.
